National Broadband Ireland (NBI) are delighted to announce that they have won ‘Company of the Year’ at the recent Chambers Ireland / InBUSINESS Recognition Awards.
Now in its 12th year, these awards celebrate the best of Irish business recognising
the core values of business innovation, technological achievement, as well as employee engagement.
NBI were rewarded based on the delivery of a groundbreaking project on a national scale, our focus on employee engagement, as well as our efforts to bridge the digital divide between urban and rural Ireland.
Commenting on the award success, Peter Hendrick, NBI’s CEO said: “National Broadband Ireland being named as Company of the Year is a testament to the entire team; not just colleagues at NBI but also the 1,800 contractors working on the project, as well the stakeholders. Their work is ensuring that the National Broadband Plan is on time and on budget; and when completed will enable over 1.1 million citizens to access high-speed fibre broadband, as well as 65,000 farms, 44,000 businesses and almost 700 schools.”
This year the Chambers Ireland / InBUSINESS Recognition Awards took place on 11th April in Clontarf Castle.
